Location

Smith Street is part of the City of Yarra, an inner Melbourne municipality located 5km from the CBD. Smith Street runs north-south from Victoria Parade at its southern most end to Queens Parade, Clifton Hill. Smith Street is the junction between Collingwood and Fitzroy and leads out to the Northern suburbs of Melbourne.

Heritage & History

Smith Street is one of Melbourne’s oldest thoroughfares dating back to the first suburban land subdivision in Melbourne in 1838. Smith Street originally formed part of a winding dirt track that went to Heidelberg.
